Way to Go, IRS

Taxes: clearly one of the worst things about setting up a company. Not only do your own taxes get more complicated, but you have to figure out a whole new way of paying taxes.

I started my research last night on Google, spent an hour or so at useless places like the "Small Business Tax Center" and "Tax Advice for Startups." Frustrated and expecting nothing, I turned to irs.gov. I should have started there. It took me 20 minutes to find all the documents I needed and figure out what I needed to do.

Then, this morning, I tried calling up the IRS to ask a few questions. After a minute or two navigating through a directory, I was connected to an operator knowledgeable about the forms I had questions about. She was friendly, answered my questions and gave me advice.

Wow. Way to go, IRS. I wish Comcast was that easy to deal with.
